How long does it take to get approved for HomeWAV? ›

Once your account has been approved by the detention facility, you will receive a notification every time your incarcerated loved one logs into a HomeWAV kiosk. In most cases, your account will be reviewed within a 24-hour time period, and the review process typically doesn't take more than two days.

Instead, voice and video calls are initiated from your loved one when they have access to a HomeWAV kiosk or tablet. Your loved one will be notified via kiosk or tablet once you are signed into your account and available to connect.

HomeWAV's secure, monitored text, image/GIF, video, and voice messaging features are unmatched by any other provider. With our easy and convenient messaging suite, visitors have control of how and when they communicate, bridging the gap with their incarcerated loved ones.

Once you've added one or more contacts to your account, you're ready to add funds and connect. Set up your Payment Details by adding a credit card. To add funds for a specific inmate, select the inmate associated with your account and click “Add Talk to Me Funds.” Enter the amount you wish to transfer.

Approvals are generally made within 24 to 48 hours. The approval process includes an active warrant inquiry through our internal docket.
